attends Ryan White’s funeral service in Indiana along with 1500 persons including

May 1990 - Michael invites John Brown, a 14-year-old cancer sufferer, and
his family to Neverland to meet them.
May 8, 1990 - Michael receives the first ever "BMI Michael Jackson Award" at
the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. After meeting music producer L.A. Reid there, he later
sets up a meeting with him and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds to work
together.
May 16, 1990 - Michael speaks on today's death of Sammy Davis Jr., saying
he is "too overcome with grief to talk".
May 18, 1990 - Michael attends Sammy Davis Jr.'s funeral, named as one of
the honorary pallbearers.

June 1990 - Michael fires John Branca after a dispute between Branca and
Walter Yetnikoff about David Geffen's effort to get Michael to perform for the

Way/Record One Studio 2 in Los Angeles.
June 3, 1990 - Michael collapses while dancing at the Hideout. He is taken
to St John Hospital of Los Angeles where he is treated for chest pains. He gets
visits from the whole Jackson family (except LaToya) + Elizabeth Taylor who is
treated in the same hospital.
July 1990 - Michael's photoshoot to advertise his line of "L.A. Gear" shoes
is published in magazines.
August 1990 - Michael, after seeing the restored "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"
at the Great British Film Rally, makes an offer to owner Pierre Picton to buy the
