December 14, 2006 - Michael writes a statement on today's announcement that there will be two fan events in Japan March 8 and 9, 2007, in place of the Tokyo Christmas Celebration that was originally scheduled for December 19. December 27, 2006 - Michael states on the passing of his friend and mentor James Brown, singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and bandleader.
December 29, 2006 - BONUS: ITV airs "The One and Only Michael Jackson", a documentary that was previously cancelled in November 2003 due to the allegations. It features Gladys Knight and La Toya Jackson, narrated by Seb Fontaine.
December 30, 2006 - Michael, as well as Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Raymone Bain, attend James Brown's funeral held in Augusta, Georgia at the James Brown arena; Michael speaks on his inspiration from Brown's life. Around this time, Michael records a tribute song entitled "I Will Miss You" with will.i.am.
~December 29-31, 2006 - Michael attends one of Prince's "Per4ming Live 3121" residency shows in Las Vegas at Club 3121 with Chris Tucker to see him and will.i.am perform. Prince plays aggressive bass in Michael's face during the show.
