1982 - Michael does a photoshoot alongside Diana Ross with photographer Norman Seeff in Los Angeles, California.

January 17, 1982 - Michael records background vocals for Donna Summer's track "State of Independence" with Lionel Richie, Dionne Warwick, Brenda Russell, Christopher Cross, Dyan Cannon, James Ingram, Kenny Loggins, and Stevie Wonder.

Early April 1982 - Michael acquires Louie, a llama from the circus, from animal owner Clazi Vaz Corso.

April 14-16, 1982 - Michael records "The Girl is Mine" with Paul McCartney. He also acquires two baby deer from Clazi Vaz Corso.

July 4, 1982 - Michael attends the annual Lucasfilm picnic at Skywalker Ranch with Quincy Jones and his wife Peggy Lipton.

September 10, 1982 - Michael's song "Muscles", which is written and produced for Diana Ross, is released on her
"Silk Electric" album.
