1995 - Michael commissions a painting by artist Brett-Livingstone Strong that recreates John William Waterhouse's work "Hylas and the Nymphs" with Michael himself and his wife Lisa Marie Presley; the painting is entitled "The Lovers".

March 29, 1995 - Michael records "Childhood".

March 23, 1995 - Michael announces to his team that the mastering needs to be finished by the end of the weekend, and they camp at Record One to do the final touches.

March 25, 1995 - Michael records the full ad-libs for the end of "Earth Song", recording into the early hours of the next day; he completes "Earth Song" from the original recording in 1990.



March 27, 1995 - The mastering of the HIStory album is completed in time for the Monday morning deadline.

April 20, 1995 - Michael attends a marketing meeting for his HIStory album and records messages for the French, German, and Dutch album pressings.

May 15-27, 1995 - Michael shoots the music video / short film for "Scream" with his sister Janet. He interviews with "Popcorn" magazine, discussing his "Artist of the Decade Award", Lisa Marie, and his planned Germany visit.

*May 25, 1995 - Michael, Lisa Marie & her daughter Danielle go to the Six Flags Amusement Park in Los Angeles. Michael treated the six year old to the Mooseburger Cafe where he even sang ‘The Moose Song’ by placing his hands above his head and imitating the cartoon character, Bullwinkle. May 27, 1995 - Michael attends the "Son of Famous Monsters of Filmland Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy World Convention" dressed as Nosferatu with his bodyguard. They are in disguise as Tom and Harry.

May 30 - June 2, 1995 - Michael shoots for his "Childhood" short film / music video.

June 1995 - Michael's photoshoot with Quincy Jones and Quincy's daughter Kidada for "Vibe" magazine, which includes a statement from Lisa Marie and other interviews, is published.

June 14, 1995 - Michael appears on "PrimeTime Live" with wife Lisa Marie Presley, interviewing with Diane Sawyer.

June 16, 1995 - Michael's "HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I" album is released, including album liner notes, and hidden message tracks for albums in France, Germany, and Holland. Michael signs a consent letter to Jermaine Jackson, indicating the terms in which Michael will participate in a planned album "Humanity" for The Jacksons in 1995-1996.

June 22, 1995 - Michael appears on the "VH1 Honors" awards show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, makes a surprise performance of "We Are The World" with Boyz II Men, and receives the "VH1 International Honors Award" from Morgan Freeman for his charity efforts.

July 25, 1995 - Michael's role as executive producer for the upcoming "Sisterella" musical is announced.

July 12, 1995 - Michael shoots the music video / short film for "You Are Not Alone" with Lisa Marie Presley.

July 25, 1995 - Michael announces the MTV video Music Award nominations with New York's mayor Rudolph Giuliani in New York City; he also interviews with MTV's Bill Bellamy for "Michael Jackson Changes HIStory" special (airs July 28), discussing his work with Janet in his nominated "Scream" music video / short film.

September 7, 1995 - Michael performs a 15-minute medley of his hit songs at the MTV Video Music Awards, which included Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, The Way You Make Me Feel, Jam, Scream, Beat It, Black Or White, Billie Jean, Dangerous and Smooth Criminal. He also accepts 3 awards with his sister Janet for the "Scream" music video.

September 22, 1995 - Michael attends "BET's 15th Anniversary Gala" in Washington D.C., performing "You Are Not Alone"; Robert L. Johnson, BET’s president, presents a special plaque.

October 1995 - Michael shoots for his "Earth Song" music video / short film.

October 23, 1995 - Michael calls "Los Angeles Times" writer Robert Hilburn to express disappointment over yesterday's story, "King of Pop is Now a Commoner".

October 31, 1995 - Michael performs "Dangerous" and "You Are Not Alone" at the Shrine Civic Auditorium for the "Soul Train 25th Anniversary Hall of Fame" TV special, set to air on November 22.

November 1, 1995 - Michael postpones his stop in Germany to accept the "Diamond of Africa Award" from Ghana's President, Jerry Rawlings at a dinner in Beverly Hills, California to promote U.S. investment and trade with Ghana to rebuild Africa; he gives a speech on his love and hope for Africa.

November 4, 1995 - Michael performs 'Dangerous' and 'Earth Song' on the German TV Show "Wetten, dass..?". Backstage, he meets Laurent Hopman and Anton Schleiter, son of son of Hamburg-based Sony music exec Wolfgang Schleiter. Michael also accepts the "Golden Otto Award" from "Bravo" magazine.

November 7, 1995 - Michael announces the merge of his "ATV Music" song catalog with "Sony Music Publishing". His co-production of "Words Without Meaning" for his nephews' musical group 3T album "Brotherhood" is released.

December 3, 1995 - Michael's acceptance of the "Best Male Solo Artist Award" via video at the "Smash Hits Poll Winners' Party" in London airs.

December 4, 1995 - Michael is rehearsing the HBO concert at the Beacon Theatre with French artist Mime Marceau and they welcome the media.

December 6, 1995 - Michael collapses while rehearsing for his "One Night Only" special and he is rushed to the Beth Israel Medical Center. Emergency workers determined that Jackson was suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and dangerously low blood pressure

December 8, 1995 - BONUS: The dancers for Michael's "One Night Only" special continue to rehearse in case Michael gets well enough to rejoin them.

December 12, 1995 - Michael exits the hospital in the afternoon, waving to fans before leaving the area.

December 16, 1995 - Michael's message of admiration to Quincy Jones is published in "Billboard" magazine for Jones' cover issue.

December 25, 1995 - Michael's message on "Top of the Pops" airs, wishing everyone a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
