1975

1975 - Michael records background vocals with Stevie Wonder and brother Jackie for Jermaine Jackson's "You're Supposed to Keep Your Love for Me"; a different version was ultimately released on Jermaine's "Let's Get Serious" album.

1975 - Michael interviews with "Right On!" magazine, discussing playing the piano, and his desire to go to college.

January 25, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 performed at the Carol Burnett Show with two numbers, 'The Life Of The Party' and 'Tribute to Mills Brothers, Andrews Sisters, Supremes, Sonny and Cher' ('Bei Mir Bist Du Schon', 'Yakety Yak', 'Stop! In The Name Of Love' and 'Dancing Machine').

February 1975 - Michael records "We're Gonna Change Our Style" with the Jackson 5.

February 1975 - Michael records "All I Do Is Think Of You".

February 1975 - Michael records "Body Language (Do the Love Dance)" with The Jackson 5.

February 5, 1975 - Michael gives a short interview for Lisa Robinson at the Warwick Hotel about singing freely on Dancing Machine, Stevie Wonder, reading, and concerts.

February 6, 1975 - Michael and The Jacksons interview with "Voice" newspaper, discussing their upcoming performances at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

February 7-13, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 perform in New York City, New York, at Radio City Music Hall for The Jackson 5 World Tour.

February 18, 1975 - Michael appears on the "2nd Annual American Music Awards", accepting the "Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist Award" on behalf of Diana Ross, and, with his sister Janet, presenting the "Favorite Soul/R&B Band/Duo/Group Award" to Gladys Knight & the Pips; Michael then performs, along with Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, and Smokey Robinson, "You’ve Made Me So Very Happy", dedicated to Berry Gordy, who won the "Award of Merit".

March 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 record "Forever Came Today".

March 16, 1975 - Michael and the Jackson 5's appearance on the "Cher" TV show, performing "I Am Love", acting in a comedy skit, performing as a choir "The World Is A Mess", and, with Cher, performing a medley of "I Want You Back", "I’ll Be There", "Never Can Say Goodbye", "The Love You Save", and "Dancing Machine".

March 24, 1975 - Michael attends a party hosted by Paul McCartney aboard the Queen Mary ship for his band Wings' recently finished "Venus and Mars" album. Michael meets Tatum O'Neal for the first time.

April 9-18, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 perform in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand for "The Jackson 5 World Tour". Following one of the concerts, they interview with "Disc" magazine. Michael discusses life at the hotel and the differences between the audiences in the cabaret-style shows there, relationships, and working with Stevie Wonder.

May 5-11, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 perform in Gaithersburg, Maryland, at the Shady Grove Music Theatre for nine concerts for "The Jackson 5 World Tour"; they are presented with the "Family Achievement Award" by D.C. Bicentennial Commission James Gibson in a reception after their first concert. They all visit the White House and meet President Gerald andBetty Ford.

June 28, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 appear on "American Bandstand", where they perform "Dancing Machine" and "Moving Violation", interviewing with host Dick Clark between the songs; Michael performs "Just a Little Bit of You" and interviews with Clark.

June 30, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 including Joe Jackson, minus Jermaine,  call a press conference in New York City, New York, at the Rainbow Room in the RCA Building, to announce that the Jacksons are leaving Motown for CBS Epic Records. Michael makes a statement on Jermaine's decision and family ties.

July 7, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5's appearance on "Dinah!" daytime talk show, interviewing and performing "Moving Violation" and "Forever Came Today" airs, along with Michael performing "One Day in Your Life", and then performing a duet with host Dinah Shore on both the Stevie Wonder and Gene Autry versions of "You Are My Sunshine". Michael then displays his sketches of Miss Jane Pittman and Charlie Chaplin.

July 6, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 perform in Long Island, New York, at the Westbury Music Fair.

October 24, 1975 - Michael meets Fred Astaire after a taping of "The Tonight Show" where Astaire was a guest.

November 27, 1975 - Michael and The Jackson 5 take part in the 8th annual Thanksgiving Parade in Cleveland, Ohio on their own float.

December 1975(?) - Michael and The Jackson 5 perform in Mexico City, Mexico, for "The Jackson 5 World Tour".

December 1975 - Michael and the Jackson 5 appear on "Soul Train", where Michael does a solo performance for "Just a Little Bit of You", interviews with host Don Cornelius, and performs "One Day in Your Life" and "We've Got Forever". Michael joins his brothers and performs "Forever Came Today", interviews with Cornelius, and performs "All I Do Is Think Of You".
