September 3, 2004 - Michael gives reasons for his reluctant settlement in 1993, and gives the necessary context of the trial in a statement for CNN.
September 10, 2004 - Thomas Mesereau makes a statement on Michael's behalf, summarizing who Michael is, his innocence, and the necessary context of the 1993 settlements. October 12, 2004 - Michael appears on the "Steve Harvey Morning Show" radio show, responding to Eminem's music video "Just Lose It" and thanking those who are supporting him. He also interviews with "Electronic Urban Report" (aka "EUR"), discussing the same issue, as well as his upcoming "Ultimate Collection" album. October 15, 2004 - Michael, through Raymone Bain, thanks fans for their support during the Eminem situation, and states his stance on the video.
October 16, 2004 - Michael thanks Steve Cochran, his friend and attorney, for all of his hard work, in a statement. October 17, 2004 Michael's team releases a statement expressing Michael's disapproval of Eminem's "Just Lose It" music video.
November 2004 - Michael sends a message to Italian fans, thanking them for their support with respect to the child abuse allegations in a public event, as well as to his European fans in general.
November 4, 2004 - Michael makes a statement on MJJSource, thanking fans for the thousands of calls and emails, and demonstrations speaking out against the allegations. November 11, 2004 - Michael phoned into a MTV protest in New York to speak to Geraldo, where people were protesting the network for refusing to pull Eminem's music video "Just Lose It". He thanked everyone for their support, especially his fans.
December 16, 2004 - Michael makes a statement on MJJSource, speaking against rumors from NY Daily News that he had allegedly bad-mouthed his fans in a HIStory Tour tape. Allan Metzger, the person who filmed the tour footage, doubts the existence of the "secret tape", and that "he couldn't recall any moments on the tour that might shake their support. His attitude was that the fans come first."
December 17, 2004 - Michael, along with Karen Faye and Raymone Bain, welcome 200 unprivileged children to spend the day at Neverland. 50 journalists are also invited including Geraldo Rivera whom Michael thanks for his support.
