1991 - Michael invites psychologist Dr. Wayne Dyer and his family to Neverland after reading his books on spirituality; they spend five days there.

1991 - 1992 - Michael befriends the Stein family, particularly mother Glenda, and calls her several times throughout the years; his phone conversations are secretly recorded by father Sam.

   1991 - Michael performs in a series of commercials for Sony Electronic's Kirara Basso television.

February 1, 1991 - Michael records "Dangerous".

February 20, 1991 - Michael calls in for the Bee Gees episode of "This is Your Life", a British documentary series, to pay tribute to the group and his inspiration from their "Saturday Night Fever" album during the "Thriller" album sessions.

~March 1991 - Michael calls hip-hop artist MC Hammer to respond to Hammer's message; Hammer asks for approval of a scene in his "2 Legit 2 Quit" music video including a Michael Jackson impersonator and his glove.

March-May 1991 - Michael records "In the Closet".

March 18, 1991 - Michael & Madonna go dining together at the Ivy restaurant in Los Angeles.

March 20, 1991 - Michael signs a recording contract deal with Sony Software for a potential $1 billion, in which he agrees to a fifteen year, six-album record and film contract and also becomes CEO of his own record label Nation Records (later renamed MJJ Music).

March 25, 1991 - Michael & Madonna attend the "63rd Academy Awards" ceremony together at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

June 1, 1991 - Michael, after learning of The Temptations member David Ruffin's passing, pays $7,000 towards his family's funeral expenses.

June 19, 1991 - Michael visits the Island of Bermuda with friend/actor Macaulay Culkin and his family.

July 27, 1991 - Michael invites the Jackson family in Neverland to celebrate the first ever Joe Jackson Day. Katherine, Joe, Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine & Janet and the grandchildren attend the event. Later at Hayvenhurst, Joe receives his present from Janet & Michael: A boat!

September-October 1991 - Michael films for his "Black or White" music video / short film.

September 16, 1991 - Michael's drawing of Mickey Mouse for Disney's Hyperion upcoming book "The Art of Mickey Mouse" is published in "New York" magazine.

September 19, 1991 - Michael's voice acting performance in the Simpsons episode "Stark Raving Dad" airs on FOX.

October 6, 1991 - Michael hosts the wedding for Elizabeth Taylor's marriage to Larry Fortensky at his Neverland home, covering the reported $1.5 million cost.

November 1991 - Michael gives a preview of his upcoming "Dangerous" album to various media reporters.

November 1991 - Michael meets Jermaine at Havenhurst to discuss Jermaine's leaked song "Word to the Badd".

October 1991 - Michael's short teaser for his "Dangerous" album, directed by David Lynch, is released in movie theaters.

November 14, 1991 -  Michael's plan to appear in a film called "MidKnight" produced by Jon Peters, is reported. Columbia Pictures were set to release the film in the summer of 1992, but it never finalized due to the death of the director. Earlier, Michael had invited the director, screenwriter, and executive to Neverland Ranch to discuss it.

November 15, 1991 - Michael issues a statement and decides to edit his "Black or White" music video / short film, following the controversy over the final segment.

November 15-16, 1991  - Michael films performances of "Black or White" and "Will You Be There" at Santa Monica Airport for MTV's 10th Anniversary Special.

November 16, 1991 - Michael receives his second "Off The Wall Appreciation Award" from American reporter Janis DaSilva on behalf of the staff and the readers of 'Off The Wall' (magazine), after his filming of MTV's 10th Anniversary Special.

November 20, 1991 - Michael's video-taped message is shown at the London listening party for his "Dangerous" album.

November 26, 1991 - The "Dangerous" album is released, along with its painting cover and liner notes.
