Statement to Fans Regarding Rumor of Bad-Mouthing Fans

To My Fans,

Recently, there has been a rumor circulating where I am accused of bad-mouthing my fans.

I was deeply hurt when I heard about this. As an artist and performer, the most rewarding part of my work is to know that I have such loyal and supportive fans. I would never resort to any such negativity. Like so many other allegations, this is a lie. I love my fans and appreciate you all so much. I would never take that for granted.

The [alleged secret] video was shot by Jackson's longtime friend Dr. Allan Metzger, who also taped Jackson's wedding that year to nurse Debbie Rowe.

"I find it hard to believe," said Metzger. "I filmed the wedding for Michael and gave him the tape. I also did a lot of filming on the [HIStory] tour.” Metzger said he couldn't recall any moments on the tour that might shake their support.

"His attitude was that the fans come first," said the rheumatologist.
