It was billed a Thanksgiving parade, but for a while it looked like an adoration for the rock group the Jackson 5. Persons along the parade route in downtown Cleveland kept following the float with the singers on it. At one point, police said a mob trampled snow fences and overwhelmed auxiliary police in their rush to see the group. The eighth annual Thanksgiving parade here drew about 100,000 spectators, parade officials said. There were 86 bands and floats. And for those who had not run off to follow the Jackson 5, Santa Claus brought up the rear.
