"Dreamer"

Date range confirmed in Kit O’Toole’s “Michael Jackson FAQ: All That's Left to Know About the King of Pop” (“recorded October 1976”)

Michael Jackson, “Moonwalk” autobiography (1988)

There was a Gamble and Huff song called “Dreamer” on the first Epic album which had this theme, and as I was learning it, I felt they could have written it with me in mind. I have always been a dreamer. I set goals for myself. I look at things and try to imagine what is possible and then hope to surpass those boundaries.

“Goldmine” magazine (Unknown date), From Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro”

One song Michael loved so much from Gamble & Huff was a “Dreamer, “Michael described the song as being perfect and everything about it from the lyrics to the melody he felt was made especially for him.”
