Date range of recording confirmed by Matt Forger in Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro”
Michael Jackson, handwritten lyrics sheet (archived)
About child neglect
Pain children feel when there ignored
—-
Michael McKeller
Lives in a different world
Oh what a different
Nobody seems to care
Waits at the window
Look how is lying there
Pretends his dying there
Nobody seems to care
Isn't it [clear] nobody noticed serving his heart on a tray now
Isn't it queer look and you'll notice bowing his head
Talks to the mirror,
Himself he entertains,
(Or: He’s standing in the rain)
Tries to escape the pain,
(But all things remain the same)
His pain remains the same.
Michael McAllar feels
He must get away.
He’s left alone today.
Nobody cares to stay.
Nothings for
You’re far beyond your years
Frank Cascio, friend, “My Friend Michael” autobiography
[There was] a pretty song called “Michael McKellar” [among the demos Michael kept at his home].
Chris Cadman, author, “Michael Jackson the Maestro”
Song Michael cited he had written in his court deposition in November 1993 – remains unreleased.
Matt Forger, Michael’s technical engineer said it was recorded during the HISTORY sessions in 1994/ 95.
On a sheet of paper auctioned in 2012 with the lyrics of Michael McKellar on them, Michael wrote:
“About child neglect.”
“Pain children feel when they are ignored.”
Frank Cascio also said that Michael would use the song title when booking it at hotels sometimes as a false alias.
