Michael Jackson made an appearance in Chicago Monday, causing temporary chaos and bringing business at a cable television trade show to a halt.
Fans, security and curious convention attendees jockeyed for a glimpse of the singer, who appeared at the Major Broadcasting Cable Network booth at the McCormick Place convention center.
Several people in business suits who wanted a better view of the spectacle had to be dragged down from adjoining display scaffolding. Others yelled, "We love you Michael!" and tried to snap impromptu photos.
Jackson, who was dressed in a teal blazer and black pants and wore metallic sunglasses, did not say anything but flashed a "peace" sign to the crowd. MBC and Jackson are in talks to develop family-friendly programming for the network, said CEO Willie Gary.
