Track recorded in 2000 by girl group, So Plush – produced by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins.

As well as name-checking him, Michael was one of a number of artists – others included Brandy, Tyrese and Toni Braxton – whose voice was sampled, leaving a message on Jerkins’s answerphone, to ask about the new So Plush album.

The album has never been officially released, but Phone Messages was included on a So Plush promo sampler (Sony ESK 16166).
