Michael Jackson “King of Pop” is presented on 19 May 1993 with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his unprecedented world records in the sphere of popular music including “Thriller”, the number one best selling album in the world, most successful concert series, most Grammy Awards won in a year, and largest contract.

The ceremony was hosted by America’s Top Ten host Casey Kasem. Michael was honoured for his albums THRILLER and BAD, his charity composition “We Are The World and for performing in front of the largest ever TV audience of 133.4 million for the Super Bowl XXVII on 31st January, 1993.
