A&E's "Biography" (Elizabeth Taylor)
Date confirmed in Adrian Grant’s “Michael Jackson: A Visual Documentary” (“February 26, 1993”)
Michael Jackson, speech transcript
When speaking of legends, one immediately thinks of my friend Elizabeth Taylor, a winner who has withstood the perils of life and show business, while continuing to shine as one of the brightest stars in the galaxy. We had a similar type of childhood, never really having the opportunities enjoyed by others. We shared a quest in search of the next step of acceptance from an adoring public who never really knew our inner turmoil. Knowing Elizabeth has provided me with many precious moments of relating to someone who knows and understands the loneliness of our business. It’s really lonesome.

Michael is asked about his thoughts regarding Elizabeth Taylor in a video for the Arts & Entertainment Network. Cathy Griffin, the producer of the program, gives Michael a waffle-iron in the shape of Mickey Mouse!
