Michael Jackson Maple Pecan Butter Cookies

1 cup unsalted butter

2/3 cup maple syrup

1/3 cup maple sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup unbleached flour

1/2 whole wheat flour

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp sea salt

1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Cream together butter, syrup, sugar & vanilla mixture until smooth. Combine flours with dry ingredients. Mix with butter until blended. Fold in pecans. Spoon onto cookie sheet that is greased or use parchment paper. Bake for around 10 – 12 minutes.
