Pop superstar Michael Jackson has praised the efforts of British children for raising £20,000 to help starving victims of the Bosnian crisis. The 1,200 youngsters from the North West were £5,000 short of their target until Jackson stepped in with a gift from his Heal the World charity to make up the total. Speaking from Japan yesterday, he said: “I wish the entire world would give as much as these children are giving.”
