Michael Jackson, video message transcript
Mandy. Mandy Porter. I hope you're feeling
better. I miss you and love you and tell all your friends who worked on the
dance performance, that was brilliant. Tell them I
loved it very much and enjoyed it very much. May you have the best of joy and
peace and good health in the future and forever. Love always, M.J.

The first time we met
Michael Jackson was after he had seen Amanda Porter on Good Morning Los Angeles
in 1986. Amanda had come to Los Angeles to be made the 1st Poster Child from
the Midwest for R.P. International. Michael was watching T.V. at Neverland Ranch
and saw Amanda being interviewed for The Wonder of Sight Night hosted by Stevie
Wonder. Amanda was asked by the interviewer, “You are meeting Stevie Wonder,
Julio Iglesias, and you will be escorted by Charleston Heston and presented by
Ricardo Montalban, but is there really someone you would like to meet?” Without
hesitation, Amanda said, “Michael Jackson”.
After the interview, we
returned to our room at the Holiday Inn in Woodland Hills, California. There
came a knock on the door and I answered it. It was
Michael Jackson with gifts in his hand for Amanda.
Amanda and Michael were
friends for 23 years, up to the time of his death. Michael called her Mandy and she called him M.J… Amanda was also in the
promotional book for Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion Perfume, hers being the 1st
letter.
When the allegations came
out against Michael, my family was asked to appear on the Geraldo Rivera Show
from the Jackson camp. Amanda, my son Riley, and I, Carole Nowicki, appeared
and defended Michael.
Michael’s kindness and
devotion to Amanda continued throughout the years even exchanging gifts to each other when they had children. He will be sadly
missed by us as we were lucky to know Michael the person and Michael the
entertainer.
