Date range confirmed by the facts that the 1981 year of recording is confirmed in the title of the “Thriller 25 Super Deluxe Edition” album track, and the fact that, according to Chris Cadman’s “Making Michael”, “After The Jacksons’ Triumph Tour finished with four concerts at the Forum in Los Angeles in September 1981 ([the last of which was on September 26, 1981]), Michael got straight back into his home studio at Hayvenhurst to write songs and record demos for the next project… The three main tracks Michael worked on in this period became ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin”, ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘The Girl Is Mine’.”
