"Tiger Beat Star" Magazine Interview
Date range of publication confirmed in Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro”
"Tiger Beat Star" magazine (1979), from Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro” (article summary/quotes)
A seven questions and answers page interview from Tiger Beat Star in 1979, the highlights being:
Did Michael celebrate his 21st Birthday in a special way?
“Not really. I just stayed at home with my parents and family. I got a lot of phone calls from my fans and friends and that was special to me.”
Did he still have his Rolls Royce?
“Yes, but I got it re-painted recently. Now it’s a shiny maroon colour instead of the green it used to be. I like it a lot better.”
What plans did the Jackson’s have for the future?
“We would like to do a musical like “The Wiz” or “Fiddler On The Roof.” I just saw the re-release of “Fiddler” and I loved it, but then I love musicals. The plans aren’t finalized for a Jackson family musical yet, but we’ll do one someday, and soon I hope.”
