"Mirabelle" Magazine Interview

Date of publication confirmed in Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro”

“Mirabelle” magazine (September 1, 1973), from Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro” (article summary/quotes)

Jackson 5 fan club leader Robin Katz wrote this article for Mirabelle magazine, although she was not the interviewer the quotes came from. Michael was asked what may scare him the most. Snakes and ghosts apparently don’t scare Michael, neither does the dark or being alone.

“Well, why don’t you guess what you think we might be afraid of, and we’ll tell you if you guessed right?”

Jermaine watching by with Katz at a nearer by table shouted:

“His biggest fear is that one of us is going to hit him with a pillow when he’s not ready for it.”

The remainder of the article dealt with how the brothers don’t take for granted any of their success and that their biggest fear is their fans.
