“The reason I looked fatigued on that programme was because we had to do the song three times for the cameras. The first two times I was pulled off the stage by fans. By the third time I was more scared than out of breath.”

Asked what sort of girl he’d like to marry Michael’s reply was short and sweet:

“I’m not going to get married.”
