"Superstars" Magazine Interview
Date confirmed in Chris Cadman’s “Michael Jackson the Maestro”
Chris Cadman, author, “Michael Jackson the Maestro” (article summary/quotes)
This article centred on the expectant arrival of Tito’s first born in 1973.
Readers discover in this issue that Tito was the one who always looked after Randy and would be a natural as a father. Most of his brothers were also looking forward to one day becoming husbands and fathers but Michael had a different outlook. Listening on the other brother’s responses Michael chipped in:
“I got enough trouble without getting married.”
With the interviewer wondering if Michael had been let down by a girl and what was going on in his life at that time Michael responded:
“Oh, nothing special. It’s just that I have a bit too much on my plate right now without a wife.”
With that established he then proceeded to jump on Marlon and play fight with him over the top of the settee.
Michael was sure it was a nephew for him and his brothers.
“Tito and Dee Dee wouldn’t dare have a girl. I mean it would be criminal not to have a boy. With all us uncles to teach him basketball and football, it would be a shame.”
